Lidl bought the Romanian-Plus network
The German Tengelmann group sold its Plus networks in Bulgaria and in Romania to Lidl. With this, a total of 119 Plus stores changes hands. The purchase price was not reported.
According to the statementof the seller, the Plus subsidiaries are in market-leading position. The Lidl takes over 2820 workers in the scope of the acquisition.
Tengelmann systematically sells its Plus networks since the beginning of 2009, so Tengelmann sold almost all domestic and abroad Plus stores for now, but kept its stores in Austria, under the name "Zielpunkt" – reports Origo.
