Lidl presented its tenth anniversary cookbook
Lidl presented its 10th cookbook, which is one of the most popular domestic cookbook series of all time, with nearly 4 million copies published. The jubilee issue of a recipe collection that turns home baking and cooking into a shared gastronomic experience has undergone a complete renewal: this time, the culinary experiences are presented by a star chef who appeals to young people and a dessert blogger, and four content producers appear as dinner guests. And what remains unchanged: the recipes made from quality ingredients, the exclusive appearance of the book, and the dietary and wine expert tips found in every chapter.
Lidl is giving its customers a new book this Christmas as well: the tenth, jubilee Lidl cookbook entitled “Joyful Cooking” has been published. When starting the cookbook series, which has now become a success story in Hungarian gastronomy, the main goal was to treat the supermarket chain with a unique, free Christmas gift for customers. However, while the first volumes typically focused on education, the latest part of the volume presents cooking as a shared, social experience. Accordingly, each of the 67 unique recipes is easy to prepare, and it even pays attention to sustainability.
The cookbook consists of four main chapters:
- Simple and quick: Easy-to-prepare, yet exciting recipes that help make everyday meals quick and tasty even for those who don’t have time to cook for hours.
- Cheap and sustainable: Conscious recipes that support sustainability through the choice of ingredients and are also affordable for customers.
Hosting made easy: We provide ideas and inspiration for those who are looking for novelties that can be prepared quickly and even together to welcome their guests. - Happy holidays: This year is really special for us, as our cookbook celebrates its 10th birthday and Lidl Hungary celebrates its 20th birthday this year. In this chapter, from birthdays to seasonal holidays (Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Easter), we will help you prepare with special tips and tricks.
“Lidl’s cookbook series has now become an indispensable part of domestic gastronomy, as it has been published in almost the same number of copies in terms of the number of domestic households – so almost every household and family has a Lidl cookbook volume. This year, we are helping our customers realize shared, enjoyable home baking and cooking, sustainable food consumption and a conscious lifestyle. After all, we are also treating our customers with the free cookbook this time, as it is only available in Lidl’s digital loyalty program, using the Lidl Plus application.”
– informed Judit Tőssér, the company’s communications manager, in connection with the presentation of the jubilee cookbook.
