Chemical residue was found in peppers and strawberries
The Levegő Munkacsoport (Clean Air Action Group) found chemical residue above the permissible limit quantities in peppers from Morocco and strawberries from Hungary.
The civil organization investigated 17 strawberry and 16 peppers samples from three chains of stores – Tesco, Auchan and the Plus. In the case of pepper samples, 10 out of the 16 cases were detected chemical residue. In the cases of strawberry samples examined, in only four chemical residue were not detected.
The Clean Air Action Group urges the Hungarian food distribution chains, to take steps to ensure that the contaminated products sidelined from the stores – reports MTI-Eco.
