The most delicious food and wine pairings at the Lake Balaton

The Lake Balaton is Hungary’s most popular summer destination. Thanks to its valuable fish stocks and significant historic wine regions it is a great field to make experiments with summer food and wine pairings.

We do not need to give up the two main principles – seasonality and regionality, ie fresh, locally sourced foods – of modern gastronomy during our summer vacation. If we recognize that these two principles are valid for wines, not only in the summer evening dinner will be finer, but the atmosphere will become more cheerful.
