The prices of most dairy products increased in December 2024
According to AKI PÁIR data, the national average producer price of raw milk in Hungary was 200.93 forints/kilogram in December 2024. Despite the stagnation of fat content and a 0.04 percentage point deterioration in protein content, as well as a 4 percent increase in the base price, the average price of raw milk increased by 5 percent in December 2024 compared to November 2024, and exceeded the average price of the same month of the previous year by 24 percent.

According to AKI PÁIR data, in December 2024, compared to the previous month, the processing sales prices of portioned butter (+8 percent), sour cream (+6 percent), boxed UHT milk with a fat content of 1.5 percent and 2.8 percent, boxed fresh milk with a fat content of 2.8 percent (both +5 percent), as well as Trappist cheese and fruit yogurt (both +4 percent) increased. According to KSH data, the consumer price of portioned butter (+16 percent), 1.5 percent fat canned ESL milk (+10 percent), 12 and 20 percent fat sour cream (both +5 percent), fruit yogurt (+4 percent), 2.8 percent fat pasteurized ESL milk and Trappist cheese (both +1 percent) increased, while the price of 2.8 percent fat UHT milk (–2 percent) decreased in the same comparison.
