Most FMCG-ads come from the market of beverages
Most papers and flyers with special offers are distributed by doiscont stores (359, in fact), in the scond place we have hypermarkets with a total of 298 special offer-papers. The most popular are the weekly ones, which cover 41 percent of the market, whereas papers valid for 14 days come second with a striking 22 percent – GFK's latest survey published.
When it comes to the number of products featured in a special offer-paper, in 2009, a total of 152 FMCG-products were featured. In 2010, only 144 advertisements were published in leaflets, and the average page number decreased from 14 to 13 pages.
18 percent of FMCG-advertisements are beverages-related ads, second comes meat (17 percent) and the bronze medal goes to cosmetics (13 percent).
