Nébih has launched a series of inspections to examine the quality of food products appearing in the Price Monitoring System. In connection with the campaign, Dr. Márton Nobilis, the state secretary responsible for the food industry and trade policy, emphasized: the primary goal of the investigation is to ensure that the Hungarian people have access to products that are not only cheap, but also of impeccable quality.
During the first target inspection, the inspectors focused on basic foodstuffs: wheat flour, bread, UHT milk, eggs and Parisian cheese were included in the official basket. The examined products were selected using the Price Monitoring System. The experts checked the 3 cheapest products per food group, making sure that they were not offered by different store chains.
