The prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased the most among Poles, by 17.8 percent
In Poland, the annual rate of inflation moderated in June, and stagnation was recorded on a monthly basis, according to the final data presented by the statistical office on Friday.
In June, the annual consumer price increase slowed to 11.5 percent from 13 percent in May. The price of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased the most, by 17.8 percent, which is still a decrease after 18.9 percent in May. The second largest price increase was recorded for the combined price of water, electricity, gas and fuel, 14.6 percent after May’s 16.1 percent.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices stagnated until May, when prices also did not change compared to April.
The average inflation in Poland in 2022 was 14.4 percent.
