Less than half of the population go on vacation this year
According to a national survey carried out among Internet users, only 46 percent of the Hungarian population plan to go on holiday this year. 79 percent of the holidaymakers are traveling in July or August, and devote an average of eight days to rest. Budapest Bank’ survey was published on Wednesday.
86 percent of survey respondents will vacationing domestically and 16 percent at a European beach, Only 5 percent are spendingg their holidays out of Europe.
According to the survey the families will spend an average of 118 thousand HUF for the holiday. 69 percent of theam covers the costs from previously saved money. 34 percent of the them finance the vacation from monthly revenues, 22 percent from Széchenyi Rest Cards. (MTI)
