Company establishments are weakening due to coupon offers
The demand for company establishments are weakening for years: while before 2008 the number of businesses increased generally by 5-6 percent annually, it has fallen below 2 percent nowadays – states Dun & Bradstreet Hungária Kft. (D&B) in its recent survey.
According to the summary of Dun & Bradstreet Hungária Kft. belonging to the Bisnode group, in the first half of this year 4 percent less ventures were established, than in the first half of 2011. Different processes can be observed in different industries: in several sectors the number of firms are reducing, but in the financial sector, at enterprises dealing with communal activities and at other services – a more than 5 percent – expansion can be observed.
The list of the industries with failures have long been led by the construction industry with 7.22 percent. The hotel industry and hospitality jumped to second place with 6.53 percent, while last year it was only eighth with 4.36 percent in the row of collapsed companies.
The analysis also shows that coupon promotions drove down prices. Many people are accustomed to discount offers, so do not go on holiday on a normal price. (Világgazdaság Online)
