Corn producer prices up 30 percent year-on-year
According to Tallage, the spot export price of corn grown in the United States increased to $212/ton (+$4) between December 12 and January 9. In Argentina, the free-on-board (FOB) price was $7 higher at $215/ton during the same period. In Brazil, the free-on-board (FOB) price of corn was $219/ton.

In Ukraine, the free-on-board (FOB) price of corn increased by $3 to $218/ton during the same period. In Bulgaria and Romania, the spot market price of corn was unchanged at $218/ton (FOB) during the same period. In France (FOB Bordeaux), the price of the crop for immediate delivery was $220/ton on January 9, while the February-March prices decreased by $1 to $221-222/ton. In Hungary, according to AKI PÁIR data, feed corn changed hands at an average producer price of HUF 76,000/ton in the third week of January, which exceeded the previous year by 30 percent. On the Budapest Stock Exchange, the March quotation of ISCC NUTS II sustainable feed corn did not change between January 13 and 24, at HUF 81,000/ton. At the same time, the March quotation of corn on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange was in the range of $187-193/ton. The March settlement price of the crop on the Paris Commodity Exchange fluctuated between 213 and 216 euros/ton at the same time.
