Soil preparation work significantly fell behind in Bács-Kiskun county, where drought caused serious damages in corn and sunflower crops – Pogonyi Tibor Agriculture Director of the county’s government office told MTI.
He added that the farmers essentially finished the harvest on the corn fields of 75 thousand hectares and on the sunflower fields of 43 thousand hectares in the county.
