Supporting digital education and the online well-being and safety of children is no longer just an opportunity, but a shared social responsibility. SIÓ-Eckes’ renewed application program last year, “Thank you, SIÓ!”, continues this year: the company will provide a total of 180 tablets to primary schools that successfully apply for digital devices. The program focuses on supporting learning and conscious internet use, and applications can be submitted until June 30.

The “Thank you, SIÓ!” program was launched in 2024 with a renewed form and name, with the aim of supporting the implementation of modern education not only with tools, but also with relevant and educational content. One of the main pillars of the initiative is equal access to learning, and each year it focuses on an important social or digital topic that contributes to the healthy development, learning and sense of security of children. Last year, nearly two hundred schools applied for the program, of which six institutions received a total of 180 tablets.

“For us, the ‘Thank you, SIÓ!’ program is not just a donation, but a long-term commitment to the future generation. We believe that modern education is not only about textbooks and digital tools, but also about every child having equal access to knowledge. They can develop safely, openly and by helping each other, whether at school or online,”

– said Dezső Mészáros, Managing Director of SIÓ-Eckes Kft.

In 2025, digital safety will be in focus, with particular attention to conscious internet use. The goal of the program is for children to be not only users, but also understanding and responsible participants in the digital world. A new educational fairy tale will also play a prominent role in this year’s program, which will be available to children, parents and teachers online from September. The story deals with the topic of digital safety and aims to help children navigate the challenges of the online space and encourage them to ask questions, talk about their experiences and dare to ask for help if they are unsure. The story is again narrated by psychologist and storyteller Györgyi Sárvári.

“The digital space is not only an opportunity, but also a risk, especially for children, who often use it before they have real grips on it. The story is a tool for processing scary or complicated things in a playful way, together, so that emotional security is also created in the process,”

said Györgyi Sárvári, the author of the story.
