The coronavirus has also reshaped the food ordering market
During the pandemic, a lot of catering units crumbled, while the Falatozz.hu online food ordering portal was stormed by new restaurants and customers, and the value of the basket and the proportion of online payments increased.
The national food ordering portal Falatozz.hu has prepared a comprehensive summary of its experience with the virus. In the period from mid-March to the end of May, marked by the coronavirus and quarantine, it is clear that hospitality has suffered from the temporary cessation of indoor consumption. 22 percent of restaurants registered before March closed due to the virus, but 2/3 of these restaurants have since managed to reopen after restrictions were lifted.
