The government has to decide: new toll or expensive food
Almost the only option for reducing food prices if the participants of the food chain will be exempted from the payment of the increased toll. In spite of low inflation, overhead reduction will not pass through to the supermarkets, so the toll was the only that raised the prices. Of course, not only consumer prices but also the trade tariffs, but the statistical analysis of these effects will be completed in months.
The National Association of Food Industries (ÉFOSZ) supports the initiative of the National Agricultural Chamber (NAK). The NAK asks the government to revise the scope of reduced fares in connection with the e-toll regulation. The ÉFOSZ recognizes the need for the introduction of e-tolling. However, if the government will not give favorable fares in e-tolling for the food industry, the price of the food products will increase and other food business bankruptcies will occur.
