The government office will make a decision as soon as possible so that compensation can begin for passengers of the bankrupt travel agency.
The Budapest Metropolitan Municipality Government Office, as a commercial authority, has initiated proceedings in the case of the bankrupt Unitravel Kft. travel agency in order to help passengers in distress, within the framework of which it will examine the contents of the company’s announcement, with particular attention to its insolvency situation.
The government office – in consultation with the affected insurer – will issue an official decision as soon as possible, as a result of which the insurer can begin to compensate the affected passengers, in a total amount of more than 460 million forints.
