The government office has begun inspecting parcel delivery services
The Budapest Metropolitan Government Office – according to a statement sent to MTI on Wednesday – has begun inspecting parcel delivery services in the interests of customers.
The Budapest Metropolitan Government Office justified the procedure by saying that more and more consumers have been complaining about parcel delivery services in recent times.
The government office, as a consumer protection authority, began a comprehensive inspection of the operation of the customer services of the companies concerned upon the instructions of the Ministry of Public Administration and Regional Development. They are investigating, among other things, whether they comply with consumer protection regulations, especially the obligation to handle complaints and provide information.
– they wrote.
According to the announcement, the government office will also investigate previous complaints and take the necessary measures to ensure the rights of customers.
In view of the Christmas period, in order to protect consumers, the government office is treating these complaints as a priority, and for this purpose it has created the csomagpanasz@bfkh.gov.hu email address, where those affected can simply submit their reports – added.
