István Nagy emphasized that producers do not have to apply for the support separately, and that those producers who received the national milk support after their application last year are automatically entitled to it. He added that this support complements the targeted milk support of about 38 billion forints paid since the end of last year. He said that producers will receive the support no later than the first week of April. “Farmers can still count on the national government, as they have done so far, and this shows,” the minister stressed. The government will not leave them alone in this difficult situation, he added. He reminded: An overproduction crisis has developed in Europe. There are several reasons for this: on the one hand, more cows have been put into production, and on the other hand, the Chinese tariff is causing export difficulties for European Union dairy products, which is even exacerbated by the war situation – the Minister of Agriculture listed in a video posted on his social media page.
