By supporting producer markets, the government wants to continue to support local producers and mitigate the economic damage caused by the coronavirus – the agriculture minister said in Üllő on Saturday.
Nagy István spoke at the ceremonial handover of the market that in 2012 the government introduced the concept of a producer market to stimulate local economies and supported the development of markets, so that by 2020 the number of markets had almost tripled. In 2012, there were 117 producer markets, while at the end of last year there were already 324 producer markets in the country, he added. (MTI)
