The government supports the Bonafarm group with 1.46 billion HUF
The government, on the basis of an individual decision, supports the construction of Bonafarm Group’s new slaughterhouse with 1.46 billion HUF in Mohács. The total cost of the project is 7.3 billion HUF – Szijjártó Péter, Parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Tradetold reporters on Friday in Budapest.
He added that the development of the Hungarian pig sector is a priority in order to improve Hungarian food exports. The missing development of the slaughterhouses led to a reduction in the competitiveness of the sector. The decline in the pig population also presented a significant challenge for the industry, the government, therefore, in 2012, adopted the pig strategy – he added. (MTI)
