Analysts expect an upturn in retail sales
Although last December’s retail sales growth decelerated, after the outstanding increase of November, but analysts polled by MTI expect a further upturn in sales this year.
According to the Wednesday released first estimate of the Central Statistics Office (KSH), the calendar-adjusted volume of retail sales increased by 1.8 percent last December, compared to the retail sales of December 2012. The sales volume increased in food retail by 0.4, in non-food retailing by 2.7 percent, while in fuel retail by 4.9 percent, compared to the previous year. (MTI)
