Small stores closed also in Austria

Last year more than 1,000 small shops finished their work in Austria, the number of small retail units fell to 52,690.

According to the Austrian Federal
Chamber of Commerce (WKO) the tendenz is clear, the hypermarkets
marketshare increase continous, and the small shops joint to the
retail chains. The several retail chains has 50% market share by
floor space.
