Investment support for the horticultural sector will increase the security of fruit and vegetable supply

The 80 billion HUF tender announced by the Ministry of Agriculture for livestock and horticultural farms also contributes to the security of the fruit and vegetable supply – Feldman Zsolt, Secretary of State resonsible for Agriculture and Rural Development told Kossuth Radio on Tuesday.

In addition to the renovation of livestock farms, the aim of the tender is to expand the areas of greenhouses and heated foils, to expand horticultural storage capacities, thus increasing the security of the fruit and vegetable supply, he added.

According to the Ministry’s experience, the need for development is greater than the tender resources provided for it, he said, noting that this is especially true for livestock and horticultural farms. (MTI)
