Husqvarna is launching AI-controlled robotic lawnmowers and an electric lawn tractor this fall. The new Automower® NERA models (405VE, 410VE, 430V, 450V and 540 EPOS) feature built-in AI Vision technology: they detect obstacles via a camera and adjust their path accordingly.
The machines also use Husqvarna’s EPOS™ system, which creates wireless, virtual boundaries, eliminating the need for an installed boundary wire. Operation and cutting patterns can be controlled via the Automower® Connect app.
The larger models can handle areas of up to 8,000 m², making them suitable for offices, hotels, university campuses or municipal green spaces. The new EdgeCut function also automates edge cutting.
According to the company, the development of intelligent robotic lawnmowers serves the balance of efficiency, safety and sustainability.
