Garden friendly circles maintain the traditions of Hungarian gardening
We can be proud of the traditions of Hungarian gardening, which is worth maintaining and supporting, said Zsolt Feldman, the State Secretary responsible for agriculture and rural development of the Ministry of Agriculture, on Thursday, at the product presentation of the National Association of Gardeners and Gardeners.

Zsolt Feldman pointed out that the work of the National Association of Gardeners and Gardeners is exemplary, as they, together with their member organizations, strive to maintain and popularize the traditions of Hungarian garden culture even today. Gardens around the house have many advantages, they can provide a family with fresh, home-grown fruit and vegetables, or they can even provide a pleasant relaxing environment, and it is also important to emphasize their recreational role, and we see that through garden-friendly clubs and community gardens with a community-creating function they can also handle it.
Zsolt Feldman considers it important that the younger generations get to know the usefulness of gardening, which was also served by supporting the establishment of school gardens.
He noted that, in recent years, the Ministry of Agriculture has created much more favorable operating conditions for those smaller producers who, when appropriate, produce in addition to their self-sufficiency, and sometimes also sell. At the same time, the ministry also supported the creation and renewal of farmers’ markets, so that more than 320 farmers’ markets can operate, which can provide significant help for the sale of seasonal goods beyond consumption, and thereby also contribute to the realization of a short supply chain. He also touched on the fact that a new tender opportunity has been opened to support small businesses in ornamental gardening. Micro or small enterprises operating in rural areas, dealing with the production of ornamental plants, trade or green space management, can submit support applications for the call with a total amount of HUF 1.6 billion from the end of October. Those concerned can use the support for the construction of the facilities necessary for their operation, expansion, renovation or modernization of their premises.
