We also take our favorite toilet paper with us on vacation
It should be clean, lockable and not shared – these are our most important requirements for the toilet when we go on holiday. Compared to weekdays spent at home, almost three-quarters of couples have the same or fewer conflicts about their toilet usage habits. The representative survey conducted by Opinio on behalf of Zewa1 also reveals that 33% of Hungarians take toilet paper with them when traveling to the hotel or apartment.
For the sake of rest, relaxation, and adventure, we are happy to temporarily give up our usual comfort and environment, it is no different with the use of the restroom during the trip, but the majority draw the line when it comes to the cleanliness of the bathroom.

When choosing accommodation, the price is a much more important factor for travelers, the majority accept that the accommodation does not offer the usual comfort at home and that the toilet opens directly from the room. Only 21% said that this solution bothers them (9% completely agree, 12% rather agree). The three most important expectations for the toilet are cleanliness (76%), lockability (47%) and not having to share it with others (37%).
Both women and men are sensitive to the state of the restroom: 69 percent of those surveyed answered that they are sensitive to the state of the toilet while on vacation (women: 75%, men: 59%), and there are much fewer who prefer (7%) or it does not bother me at all (4%) if the toilet is not the cleanest.
