The Christmas gift packages reached a nearly four billion HUF turnover at the end of 2013
The retail sales of Christmas gift packages containing medicinal products lotions, nonprescription medicines and health care products increased in value and in amount of in November and December last year, compared to the same period of 2012 – the analysis of the Nielsen consumer knowledge and information services company reveals among other facts.
The consumers spent a total of about 4 billion HUF, for the about 2.5 million Christmas gift packages in November-December 2013. In terms of value of 18 percent more than in the 2012 season.
In terms of volume, the growth was 21 percent, from one festive period to the other.
The store sales are highly concentrated. Eighty-eight percent of the total sales, measured value was carried out by hypermarket and drugstores. (Nielsen)
