Plant diseases hit the brassicas this year
The domestic brassica growers have to face face new challenges this year. The extremely wet weather resulted plant diseases in the orchards, on the other hand due to the Russian embargo an oversupply may occur in the European market, which is causing serious problems in marketing.
The growing area of Hungarian brassicas showed an increase for years, but this year shows a decrease again. This year, cabbage, kale, broccoli and cauliflower cultivation was carried out on five thousand hectares – was said at the traditional professional event of Syngenta which was held in Ócsa again, in the heart of the domestic production.
