The processing season of 2013 has ended in the sugar factory of Kaposvár
The sugar factory of Kaposvár has closed its processing season for 2013 – the Magyar Cukor Zrt, a member of the Austrian Agrana Group informed MTI on Friday.
In Hungary's only working sugar factory a total of 830 thousand tons of raw material was processed. That means seven thousand tons of sugar beet per day during the 118 days of the campaign. According to the communication the farmers who are contracted with the factory transported an average of 16.34 percent sugar contented sugar beet from a 15 thousand hectares of production area. (MTI)
