The joint donation of JYSK and the Hungarian Food Bank Association provided assistance to thousands of people in need
The joint charity campaign between JYSK Hungary and the Hungarian Food Bank Association has been completed, the aim of which was to involve the supermarket chain’s customers so that as many food packages as possible could reach those who need them the most. As a result of the cooperation, tens of thousands of people can receive direct help.
The charitable initiative was related to the 20th anniversary of the two organizations, and the aim was to celebrate the anniversary with a truly value-creating collaboration. Between September 3 and October 14, 2025, JYSK supported the work of the Hungarian Food Bank Association with a portion of the sales for every Fossflakes Royal Nordic pillow purchased, so that help could reach as many people in need as possible. A total of three million forints was collected during the campaign, of which 24,000 food packages will be prepared, so that the same number of people in need can receive food aid through the Association in the coming weeks.
“It is of utmost importance to us to help where it is truly needed. We are proud that during our birthday campaign, with the involvement of our customers, we were able to support the work of the Food Bank with such a significant amount, and we were able to work together to support those in need”
– said Krisztina Szilvási, Head of Communications at JYSK.
“With the help of the donation, we were able to deliver tens of thousands of food packages to families in need, the elderly and children. We are very grateful for this collaboration, which meant real, tangible help in everyday life”
– added Eszter Horváth-Halmai, Corporate Fundraising Manager at the Hungarian Food Bank Association.
JYSK and the Hungarian Food Bank Association are committed to working together to help those in need and to raise awareness of the importance of social responsibility and the fight against food waste.
