In next year’s budget, protecting the ecomomy will play a key role
On Tuesday, Minister of Finance Mihály Varga handed over the draft law on next year’s budget to László Kövér, Speaker of Parliament. Economic growth will be 4.8 percent, inflation may be around 3 percent, and a nearly HUF 3,000 billion health insurance and disease prevention fund is also included in the proposal. These are key elements of next year’s budget that will help the country successfully emerge from the economic hardships caused by the coronavirus epidemic.
In the 2021 budget bill, the government expects economic growth to be 4.8 percent and inflation to be around 3 percent, said Finance Minister Mihály Varga. This means that the government expects stable growth and even a strong strengthening of the Hungarian economy by 2021. And if this is met, it means that the country could strengthen even faster than optimistic expectations after the coronavirus epidemic, which is causing serious difficulties around the world.
