Easter also boosts the gaming market, according to a survey
Easter also boosts the toy market, with families with young children generally spending between 5,000 and 10,000 forints on purchases, according to REGIO Játékkereskedelmi Kft.
According to their survey, 69 percent of parents buy toys as the first family holiday of the year approaches, with only sweets being more popular at 81 percent. 42 percent buy books, and a third of families plan domestic travel during the holiday period, they wrote.
According to feedback, creative toys and Lego sets lead the demand ranking with 40 percent each, followed by board games, plush figures and coloring books. Many people are also interested in outdoor products, as Easter is the turning point of the seasonal supply, and the sales of garden toys and sports equipment start to pick up at this time, they added.
The survey also asked about Easter customs, and it turned out that six out of ten boys go to the water. Almost half of the prizes are sweets, while a quarter of households with girls give money, but the tradition of the embroidered egg has not disappeared either. Parents with girls believe that the majority of children welcome the sprinkles – the announcement reads.
3,141 parents participated in the REGIO Game survey, all of whom raise children under the age of 14. The research was conducted between March 28 and April 6.
