Hugo Boss quarterly revenue falls
The sales of the German clothing and fashion retailer Hugo Boss decreased in the third quarter compared to the previous year.
According to data posted on the company’s website on Tuesday, its revenue decreased by 4 percent to 989 million euros from 1.03 billion euros a year earlier.
Revenue decreased by 3 percent to 764 million euros in the men’s and 10 percent to 67 million euros in the women’s fashion clothing business, and by 7 percent to 158 million euros in the Sales of ancillary products fell to EUR 1.1 billion.
The company’s sales fell by 3 percent each in the Americas and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region, and a 9 percent decline was recorded in the Asia-Pacific region.
The quarterly operating profit (EBIT) stagnated at EUR 95 million. Profit after tax increased by 7 percent, from EUR 56 million to EUR 60 million, and earnings per share increased from 79 cents to 85 cents.
