The possibility of a home office opens up new horizons in the field of travel
38% of Hungarians work exclusively or partially from home, and this proportion will increase somewhat in the near future based on recent representative research by Kiwi.com. Members of Generation Z work the most flexibly, and they are also the ones who most (61%) believe that working while traveling has a positive effect on their mental health and their work. The fact that 6% of Hungarians would not even think of working while traveling paints a rather alarming picture, because they are unable to relax and stop working if their laptop is nearby.
About 8% of Hungarians work remotely, and three out of ten work in a hybrid system (partly from home). While there are no significant differences in terms of gender, differences can already be observed based on age groups and education. Based on Kiwi.com’s research*, the younger someone is, the more likely they are to work from home. Based on recent representative research, 42% of Generation Z, 38% of Generation Y, and 34% of Generation X work partially or only from home offices. Every third of the high school graduates and every second of the graduates work from home.
The proportion of those who only or partially work from home will increase somewhat, as 6% of those who have always visited said that they may switch to remote work or hybrid work in the near future.
