Hisa Franko became the first three-star restaurant in Slovenia
Hisa Franko became the first restaurant in Slovenia and the Eastern European region to boast three Michelin stars, and Milka in Kranjska Gora received its second star, Slovenian public television reported on Tuesday, citing the announcements of those involved.
Ana Ros, the chef of the Hisa Franko restaurant, was chosen as the best female chef in the world in 2017. The Michelin Guide had not previously examined Slovenian gastronomy, but it was precisely because of Ros that it decided to publish a regional guide for Slovenia in 2020.

“Hisa Franko impressed the Michelin inspectors with its constantly improving quality compared to the first edition of the Michelin Guide Slovenia, boasting a unique tasting menu, dishes that stand out with original colors, flavors and textures,”
