Customers of Tesco collected more than 33 tons of food for those in need
In less than two days, Tesco customers have collected more than 33 tons of perishable food to families in need. The event was organized by Hungarian Red Cross and Hungarian Foodbank Association, and within the compass of the campaign 115 Tesco outlets urged customers to collect food for those in need last weekend.
The event is one of Hungary's greatest fundraising campaign, and it was opened by president of Hungarian Red Cross György Habsburg and president of Hungarian Foodbank Association Balázs Cseh. The donation collected is worth more than 20 million HUF, this way 8-10 thousand people can get a memorable gift-package this Christmas.
