Our domestic wildlife is our unique national treasure
Preservation of our created world is our common duty, and the order of nature cannot be broken, which is why responsible and conscious wildlife management plays an extremely important role – said Minister of Agriculture István Nagy at the 150th anniversary celebration of the foundation of the Karcagi Nagykun Hunting Association on Wednesday.
At the event, the head of the ministry drew attention to the fact that individual wildlife species are just as much a part of the characteristic image of our landscape units as mountains, plains, rivers or forests. And hunting is key to maintaining a healthy game population with good genetic values. We can all be proud of our wildlife, which we can without modesty say is our national treasure. And we have to manage this value responsibly in order to preserve it for the future generation, he added.
The minister emphasized that efforts should be made to create a smaller but better quality game population
For an optimal number of employees, which creates harmony between the wildlife sector and field and forest management and nature conservation. According to István Nagy, Hungarian venison is popular in Europe due to our unique characteristics. In addition to providing a special taste experience, game meat also has many beneficial properties from a physiological point of view. We must consciously protect our traditions and customs. We must appreciate the normality of the daily sacrificial and persistent work of farmers and wildlife management specialists, thanks to whom safe food can be put on the tables of Hungarian families, he emphasized. He explained that in the heart of Nagykunság, in Karcag, the inhabitants of the land of the Kunians faithfully preserve and cherish their traditions, and are proud of both their past and present. Our common duty is to preserve and maintain the balance of nature, wildlife and man-made for future generations.
