The domestic dairy industry expects EU funds to increase its competitiveness

The expected termination of the milk production quota in January 2015 will cause a new situation on the dairy market. The Hungarian dairy industry must prepare for increasing competitiveness – the director of the Hungarian Dairy Association stressed on Thursday at a press conference in Budapest.

Besenyei Ferenc said, that the government considers the food industry as a strategic sector, and this gives hope to the dairy industry that the dairy processing companies will receive EU funds at a higher ratio, in order to implement their innovative developments. (MTI)
