Nearly the fifth of the domestic small and medium-sized businesses had been in trouble, because of data stealing
The data protection standard and document destruction habits of two hundred domestic small and medium-sized enterprises were examined in a representative survey which revealed, that although 90 percent of the SMEs have confidential documents, 25 percent of them do not have any regulations to deal with these documents. It is not surprising that almost one in five SMEs have suffered competitive disadvantage due to data abuses.
The representative survey on the data protection standards and document destruction habits of the domestic SMEs, was carried out by the Szinapszis Kft., on behalf of the Fellowes company. The survey was related to the “Protect Your Datas!” program.
