Nielsen: 54 percent of the domestic consumers are planning to purchase online
The proportion of consumers increased by one-third over two years in Hungary to 8 percent, are planning to buy food and drinks online during the next six months.
46 percent of the surveyed Hungarians were looking for informations before buying food on the internet, during the month before the survey was carried out. They were looking for informations for example about prices or other consumer’s perceptions. Nielsen’s global study examined the impact of the Internet on the food purchasing decisions of consumers. Worldwide an average of 85 percent of the respondents plan to shop online or use some services. This proportion is three percentage points higher than the datas of the 2010 survey. Those who are willing to buy food and drinks online increased by 44 percent to 26 percent.
