Regarding the new 5+5 combined construction that will soon open for restaurants, the CEO called it the goal that the catering industry sector will thus also receive stable, predictable resources to support daily operations and developments.

Within the framework of the “5+5” financial construction, which was developed as part of the 5+1-point hospitality industry action plan announced in January, restaurant operators will also receive a non-refundable grant of 5 million forints in addition to the 5 million forints Kisfaludy Tourism Credit Center (KTH) Start loan. The total of 10 million forints will provide significant assistance in strengthening their competitiveness and in successfully preparing for the upcoming high season.

He said: “this an unmissable opportunity for restaurants, the fixed 2.5 percent annual interest rate, the unsecured loan, the quick and easy application process, and the non-refundable support of up to 5 million forints are all conditions that rarely come up. There are no management costs, no prepayment fees, but there is a real chance that small developments will yield big benefits”.

Anikó Suhajda-Molnár, CEO of the Kisfaludy Program, which provides the source of the non-refundable support, highlighted that tourism accounts for more than 14 percent of Hungarian GDP and provides a livelihood for more than 400 thousand Hungarian families.
