The agricultural ministry plans to double fish consumption

Fish consumption in Hungary has increased over the last ten years, but is still far below the EU average – Farkas Sándor, parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture said in Budapest at a press conference promoting fish consumption.

Increasing the consumption of high quality domestic fish will provide a market for Hungarian producers. Fish farming has national importance and contributes to the stability and sustainable development of rural areas, the Minister of State pointed out. (MTI)
