The weak grape harvest does not cover the domestic wine consumption
The bad weather and the fungal infections decimated the crops in the Hungarian wine regions. The harvest can bring the lowest quantity of the past decades, which does not even cover the domestic consumption.
This year, there are no wine regions, which have been fully protected from the diseases. The soil of hilly vineyards in many places were washed out by the torrential rain. According to experts, this year’s wine will be different compared to last year’s. This time the fresh tastes, and the characteristic aroma and flavor of the grapes will be significant – reports Népszabadság Online.
