Univer does not need import, despite the poor pepper yields

Despite the extremely poor domestic peppers harvest, the Univer Product Zrt. does not need import. The company’s food seasonings are continued to be made of only high-quality Hungarian paprika – Molitórisz Károly CEO told MTI on Tuesday.

Earlier in the press several experts said that over the past 50 years, only once such bad pepper yield occured. According to the paprika farmers and processors, the country is expected to need significant imports and because of the poor harvest, the price of Hungarian paprika will increase by at least 10 percent in the coming months.
