Weak forint strengthens the industry
In July 2010 the volume of industrial production augmented by 9 percent, compared with July 2009. In the first seven months industrial export improved by 15.7 percent (by 11.2 percent in July). Domestic industrial sales contracted by 4 percent in the same period – despite that July brought a 2.9-percent expansion. In July 2010 production in the processing industry was 9.5 percent higher than in July 2009, with volume expansion in 9 out of its 13 sectors.
