From production to stores, Pandora is integrating its jewelry with SAP solutions
Pandora is looking to leverage the best of technology to boost its business and accelerate growth. The world’s largest jewelry brand has placed the improvement of the consumer experience at the heart of its digital strategy, and has chosen SAP to support it – in the future, it will use SAP S/4HANA Cloud and RISE with SAP.
Pandora’s story began in 1982 with a small, family-run shop in Copenhagen. Since then, it has grown to become the world’s largest jewelry brand, with revenue of €4.2 billion last year. It sells its affordable, high-quality products, made from recycled silver and gold, in retail stores and online in more than 100 countries. The company employs around 37,000 people.
“I truly believe that business is technology and technology is business. On our growth journey, we are truly digitizing our company from manufacturing to offices and employees to our stores, offering a personalized service to consumers,”
says Mariane Heidingsfelder, Vice President of Business Transformation at Pandora.
The company’s top priority in its digital strategy is to improve the customer experience. At the same time, the company believes that the employee experience is almost equal to the customer experience, as it can be the key to fulfilling the latter. Pandora chose RISE with SAP to support its ambitious digital journey and serve as the foundation for the company’s future growth. The core of the new ERP system is SAP S/4HANA Cloud, which enables business processes to be standardized, simplified, and more tightly connected.
The company is trying to make life easier for its employees and simplify the operation of its stores. Leaner, digitalized processes and user-friendly dashboards are just a few examples of measures that allow employees to spend less time on background work and more time with customers or solving more innovative, complex problems. The stores use a variety of technologies; they strive to provide salespeople with all the information they need to have meaningful conversations with customers in one place. Pandora is already exploring how it can leverage the built-in generative AI capabilities of SAP S/4HANA; this is also a central element of its digital strategy.
