The GVH approved the acquisition of the PepsiCo subsidiary
In January 2018 the Karlovarské minerální vody (KMV) announced the acquisition of PepsiCo’s Hungarian, Czech and Slovak interests and will be the exclusive distributor of the PepsiCo soft drinks and food products and franchise rights after the approval of the competition authorities.
In the Hungarian market, the transaction will be realized by the Szentkirályi-Kékkúti Ásványvíz Kft. (Mineral Water Ltd.). owned by L Balogh Levente. The acquisition was approved by the Economic Competition Office (GVH) on Tuesday, while in the other two countries licensing process is still undergoing.
