A new phishing campaign is spreading in Hungary: scammers are sending fake SMS messages in the name of the GLS courier service, claiming that the package could not be delivered due to “incomplete address information” to deliver.
The messages come from a +63 number with the Philippine prefix, the text is in Hungarian, and the signatory is “GLS Hungary.”
The link in the SMS leads to a fake page similar to the official GLS page. Here, the user is asked to enter the full address, and then to pay a service fee of 190 forints by bank card for the “delivery”. According to the warning, anyone who enters their card details here is risking not only 190 forints: fraudsters can also withdraw larger amounts from the account.
