GLS Hungary has prepared everything so that holiday packages arrive on time
The holiday season requires special preparation every year – thanks to GLS Hungary’s year-round data-driven operation and forward-looking planning, it is ready this year to ensure that shipments arrive on time even during the holiday peak. In addition to home delivery, nearly 2,000 GLS Automata, more than 1,000 GLS CsomagPonts and weekend customer service available nationwide ensure that gifts reach their recipients quickly and flexibly.
Data-driven planning and continuous optimization of capacities are of paramount importance to GLS Hungary, which allows it to provide reliable and fast service at all times, including during the peak year-end parcel traffic. Thanks to detailed analyses and forward-looking planning carried out throughout the year, GLS also delivers parcels in December with a turnaround time of 1 working day, so that shipments handed over to the company on Friday, December 20th will arrive before Christmas, on Monday, December 23rd. GLS will also pick up and deliver parcels on Saturdays, December 7th and December 14th, thus supporting the fastest possible delivery of parcels in the period leading up to the holidays.
Flexible collection options
In addition to home delivery, there are approximately 2,000 GLS Automata and more than 1,000 GLS CsomagPonts available nationwide, ensuring that everyone can find the most suitable collection method for them. The vast majority of the machines are available 24 hours a day, so recipients can conveniently access their packages at any time, even in the early morning or late evening – thus ensuring smooth and flexible access to their orders during the holiday season. GLS, like the rest of the year, will continue to store shipments waiting for collection in the parcel machine for 7 calendar days.
Weekend customer service for questions related to the parcel machines
GLS Hungary will also provide weekend customer service support for questions related to the parcel machines between November 23 and December 22. Customer service is available every Saturday and Sunday between 8:00 and 16:00 during this period on +36 (29) 88 66 70.
