GLS acquired the Hungarian e-commerce fulfillment company, iLogistic
The GLS Group, a leading package logistics service provider in Europe and North America, has announced the acquisition of iLogistic, a Hungarian fulfillment company specializing in e-commerce. This step enables GLS to offer its customers a fulfillment service both inside and outside of Hungary. The acquisition fits perfectly into the strategy of the GLS Group, which aims to expand and color the service provider’s portfolio.
GLS aims to expand its scope of activities and opportunities, and the outsourced web store logistics serves as a priority growth area. The company strives to become a more versatile service provider while maintaining its strong position in the parcel logistics market.
iLogistic, which provides outsourced logistics services for online stores, such as packaging, inventory management and returns management, was already a reliable partner of GLS before the acquisition. Over the years, their cooperation has steadily strengthened, while GLS has ensured the delivery of packages to customers, which is one of the most critical stages of the logistics process.
